Here are some of our Success stories
Lisa Fox
Licensed Senior Conveyancer
Lisa joined Vicki Philipoff Settlements in 2004 as Trainee Conveyancer, and over the years progressed to becoming a Conveyancer, and then on to Senior Conveyancer . She completed her Diploma in Financial Services Conveyancing part time whilst under our employ in 2007 and obtained her Settlement Agents license in 2008. Lisa worked her way up the ladder to Conveyancing Manager, which entailed managing her own team of up to 5 Conveyancers.
A lot of exciting things have happened to Lisa since 2004, she got married in 2009 and she commenced a law degree in 2010. She put the law degree on hold and has given birth to two beautiful daughters. She is looking to recommence her Law Studies in the coming new year. Lisa took herself out of the race for another big role within our company , she was concerned about the impact it may have on the balance of what she wants to achieve as a person, outside of her career. She enjoys working at Vicki Philipoff Settlements because she can enjoy flexible working arrangements which allows her greater work/life balance. With flexible work schedules, our employees experience these benefits:
- Flexibility to meet family needs, personal obligations, and life responsibilities conveniently.
- Avoids traffic and the stresses of commuting during rush hours, saving commuting time for our employee and fuel costs.
- Increased feeling of personal control over schedule and work environment.
- Reduces employee burnout due to overload.
- Allows people to work when they accomplish most, feel freshest, and enjoy working. (e.g. morning person vs. night person).
- Depending on the flexible work schedule chosen, may decrease external childcare hours and costs.
Amanda Ashe
Executive Administrator
Before commencing with Vicki Philipoff Settlements in 2003 Amanda completed a business college course in the legal secretarial administration area. This course enabled her to easily take on all the roles associated with conveyancing.
Amanda has been with Vicki Philipoff Settlements for over 12 years. Amanda started with us as an Outside Clerk/receptionist attending settlements externally, and she then moved to working internally as a Trainee Conveyancer, and progressed to a Conveyancer position.
When we recognized the need to create a Data Entry and Document Preparation Department to streamline our organization in , Amanda was offered the position of heading up the department for us. Amanda managed approximately 12 staff members for 5 years , and was responsible for developing and implementing new administrative systems and procedures and ensured the smooth running of the department.
In early 2015, Amanda decided to venture out into a new role and took on our Executive Administrator role. Amanda is responsible for allocating the settlements we receive via email and Australia Post to our Conveyancers and for processing all of our Revenue on Line with the Department of Finance. With over 500 transactions each and every month, her keen eye for attention to detail is a critical aspect of her role as Executive Administrator.
We provide a career path and varied job roles and we promote internally within Vicki Philipoff Settlements.
Anita Catalano
Data Entry & Document Preparation
Anita commenced with us back in 2004 in the role of Senior Conveyancer. She was promoted to Manager of our Subdivision Department and was responsible for having the subdivision registered and new titles issued, and then following on, for the completion of all the settlements associated with the subdivision. Her role was to meet the operational requirements of each subdivision by scheduling and assigning employees as Titles issued to ensure that all settlements happened on time.
Anita has been in the Settlement Industry for over 10 years and has returned to Vicki Philipoff Settlements after some time away from the industry. She’s now back – but not fulltime, giving her the opportunity to still spend time with her 2 young boys.
We consider that the interests of the company and individual are inseparable, which is why we offer Vicki Philipoff Settlements employees a number of working arrangements. Our unique flexible working arrangements mean that a career at Vicki Philipoff Settlements can develop around the various commitments you may experience throughout the different times in your life, like becoming a parent for example.
Christy Wight-Pickin
Senior Manager
Christy started in the industry in 2004 before joining Vicki Philipoff Settlements in 2006 as our Head Outside Clerk and has worked her way up to Senior Management.
Christy prides herself on delivering the highest level of service to our clients. Christy took a short break from VPS to pursue other avenues, and our clients are delighted that she returned. We can count on Christy to take very good care of all of our clients needs.
Christy thoroughly enjoyed our Singapore and Melbourne Conventions and is looking forward to the next one!
We offer interesting work. Our team at Vicki Philipoff Settlements are stimulated, challenged and inspired by their work. They thrive on Customer Feedback, having a clear path to promotions, regular and fair evaluations, and training for new skills.
Lee Massey
Senior Conveyancer
One of the longest serving members of the Vicki Philipoff Settlements Team, Lee commenced with VPS in April 2001. If you can name the role, we’ve little doubt Lee has done it here! Currently Senior Conveyancer (and arguably part of our office furniture!) Lee’s dedication and commitment to clients and agents alike is well recognised. Couple this with a meticulous eye for detail and you may just have yourself a settlement superstar!
Part of Lee’s success stems from her genuine enjoyment of building a close rapport with her clients. Fully experienced and conversant with every aspect of the settlement process, Lee’s advice is often sought and thankfully easily obtained within our office.
Lee enjoys the flexibility we offer to our Conveyancers, and in turn, we’ve experienced the benefits of increased employee morale, engagement, and commitment to the organization from our team. Our work culture and workplace environment attracts and retains superior employees.
